Shadowdreamscapes – Childrens’ Discovery Museum

As part of a giant holiday celebration at the Childrens’ Discovery Museum, I designed several light/shadow-based interactive activities, along with Heidi Lubin and Megan Flod Johnson

I designed this activity to allow children (and their caregivers) the opportunity to combine shapes and colors in ways that would be fun – and teach about mixing colors. The first image shows a quick test I carried out with some scraps of acrylic, just to be sure that this concept would function as intended.

I designed and built this spinning chandelier and reflective mesh screen to create a fun place to play and watch the movement of colors and shadows.
