This year I worked with the lovely Mirella Toncheva to make a Valentine. She’s a total babe!

I designed some signage for the Brooklyn Cyclones’ stadium on Coney Island. It was fun to do some research into the color schemes of New York baseball and Coney Island, plus I got to eat a candy apple every time I went to the stadium for a presentation!
My concept was based on a combination of the boardwalk signs filled with hundreds of lightbulbs, and the directional-looking baseball souvenir pennants.
I drew these pictures for Sesame Street – Prince Charming and a Princess involved in their day-to-day activities.
It appeared in an episode where an apple ipad was used for the the first time on the show.
I made these posters to appear in Michael Showalter’s pilot for a new television series. They needed to appear to be designed at different times, and by different people – and the photos cleared for use were mostly pictures of animals, and photos of someone’s vacation. I had fun thinking up names for non-existent programs, and corny jokes to hide in the posters.
Here’s the finished project for which I made all of those cardboard props! Max Porter and Ru Kuwahata helped take the pixellated photos of the props and costumes, and even helped out by wearing them. When I brought everything into After Effects, I had to scale Max and Ru horizontally to make them chubby enough for animation!
The rain was made by gluing construction paper raindrops to some string, and cycling through three different strands of drops (purple, light blue, and dark blue.
And here’s what those things look like when they’re moving:
One of the things I make at Sesame Street is graphics for some of the packages and labels that appear on the show. (And sometimes a sign for the dressing room of a guest too.)
I started drawing true stories for a new comic book. The first six will be published in the new Fakeheads Anthology (with greyscales!) You can learn more about the project over here: www.fakeheads.com
If you left click on the images they load up kinda tiny, but if you right-click and “Save link as” you can download a totally legible larger image.
This is a true story about what I found in a walled-off closet inside my bedroom when I lived at 57 Kent Avenue. I started drawing the panels on big sheets of paper, cutting out the good ones and keeping them in an envelope. I liked the little booklet format since it works well to keep each panel a surprise, so that is how I printed the comic.
I printed up the cover at the AS220 letterpress in Providence, and xeroxed the inside pages. If you would like to trade for a copy, let me know.
I made this skateboard for a show that was put on by Andrea Breitman. I enjoyed dusting off my old gouache paints for this project.
